Welcome to La Huerta! Located within the Greater Antilles of the Caribbean Sea, you will quickly find that this island boasts a variety of contradictory ecosystems, from vasts jungles to coniferous forests, including a desert and alpine terrains.
In spite of your current circumstance, we hope that you will find comfort in the accommodations the resort has to offer. Feel free to help yourself to any available commodities, including sustenance, rest, leisure, medical, and so much more!

What year is it?
My historical fragments indicate that the present year is 2897 CE.
Where is everyone?
Results are in flux.
What does that mean?
Some of my files appear to be corrupted, and so I am unable to provide a sufficient answer. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Is help coming?
Negative. I have not picked up activity of sustainable life on the planet in approximately 880 years, following the chronostorm.
Chronostorm?
The eruption of Mt. Atropo, which resulted in the destruction of all time-space barriers... and thus, the world.
La Huerta, however, has been preserved by a "time bubble" of sorts, hence the state you see it is in now despite the passing of nearly nine centuries. I am also showing that the occasional fluctuations in reality have contributed to many local oddities as well. But do not worry, for now you are quite safe -- provided that you stay near the resorts and do not attempt to leave the island!
But can I leave?
I would strongly advise against doing so. The chronostorm outside of the island's barrier is in constant shift. I cannot guarantee your safety and survival should you attempt to abscond by sea or air.
How did I get here?
I have detected tampering with the island's many space-time anomalies, which have resulted in various interdimensional shifts opening tears in reality. You have been brought here by such anomaly shifts and tampering.
Who is behind the tampering?
Those files appear to be corrupted, and so my archives are incomplete. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Is there anyone else here?
I have detected traces of other interdimensional shifts much like yours across the island. You may utilize the map installed on mobile devices and terminals to locate such anomalies yourself, if you so wish to investigate.
What methods of travel are there?
While limited in accessibility, you may find Humvees and snowmobiles near the M.A.S.A.D.A. complex and the Elysian Lodge. The Celestial Hotel is equipped with some mini tour buses and motorbikes. It is possible you may be able to salvage the sailboats on the rainforest coasts. I am detecting some ATVs to the south that may yet be functional as well.
Where do I eat/drink?
You may help yourself to the dining facilities within the hotel and resort, with are equipped with a variety of restaurants, bars, and lounges which offer food, alcoholic drinks and other refreshments.
What about the plants and animals? Can I eat them?
While you may certainly try your luck, I would strongly advise you to consult with my database before attempting to consume the local flora and fauna. It would be a shame if you were to ingest something toxic! Please utilize our medical facilities and supplies should such incidents do occur.
Can you be destroyed?
I would encourage that you refrain from unnecessary acts of destruction, as doing so would prove ineffective and pointless. As version 1.0, I am merely an executable program installed on devices to better guide you through the initial stages of your arrival. IRIS 3.1, on the other hand, has wider access to the island's satellite network and therefore cannot be disengaged. You are welcome to try. However, I would strongly suggest you channel your endeavors to a more productive goal.
